A Great CMS for a Great Client
We we’re happy to Launch the new Lansdowne Place Website this week. Lansdowne Place is an upscale mall located in Peterborough Ontario. After an amazing renovation to the malls interior/exterior, Emagine was asked to work with them in developing a new website to reflect their new image.
Lansdowne Place already had a new design template that was created from their current creative marketing firm. It was a nice design and matched their Kawartha Lakes brand and new beautiful renovation. Emagine was approached to work with their designed templates to further develop and program the website to cater to all users and applications, as well as implement a leading edge open source Content Management System (CMS).
We developed a simple to use open source CMS that allowed the client to:
- Add/edit new user accounts with different permissions
- Validate content uploaded from each user before publishing
- Add and update individual store pages
- Add and update events, and promotions
- Edit regular pages throughout the website within minutes
The website is also powered by a user database that can be accessed by individual stores via login. These 90+ stores have their own one page website displaying this information as well as a photo, description and hours of operation. The CMS allows the store managers to upload their own job opportunities and store promotions with minimal training. Once stores have uploaded items, Landsowne Place gets an automatic email allowing in house marketing staff to approve the content before it is published live to the web.
This website shows the power and value of Content Management Systems and why more companies are using them today. We are happy to build systems like this for our clients because it saves them time and money in the long run. Emagine has worked on many similar content managed websites and it is very rewarding to see our clients expectations completely exceeded!
